LUANA DISARRA SCAVONE
Luana focuses her practice on the evaluation,
preparation and trial of general liability, commercial liability,
premise liability, professional liability, product defects, automobile
torts, contracts, construction disputes and wrongful death actions
in Massachusetts and Rhode Island state and federal courts. She
has defended numerous insured private individuals, insured companies
and self-insured corporations and has practiced in the U.S. District
Court of Massachusetts and in Massachusetts Superior Courts, District
Courts, Appeals Court and Arbitration Forums as well as the U.S.
District Court of Rhode Island and Rhode Island Superior Courts
and District Courts.
Luana has been involved in all phases of the litigation process
including pleading filings, investigations, written discovery,
depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiations, pretrial
appearances, trial preparation, bench trials and jury trials.
She has appeared at court hearings for dispositive motions, summary
judgment motions and has represented clients in alternative dispute
resolution, such as mediation and arbitration. In July 2008 Luana
completed an intensive Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education
Trial Advocacy Program directed by Massachusetts Superior Court
Justices. She has also given presentations on the topics of wills
and trusts.
Luana is fluent in Italian and conversant in Spanish.
