ROBERT
W. HELLNER
received his undergraduate degree with university honors from Carnegie Mellon in 2001 and his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law, where he served as network editor for the Journal of Technology, Law and Policy in 2005.
Mr. Hellner is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut, the U.S. District Court of Connecticut and the Mohegan Gaming Disputes Court, which has jurisdiction over all lawsuits relating to gaming operations.
Mr. Hellner practices in the area of civil defense litigation, with a focus on professional liability defense, personal injury defense, UM/UIM defense, coverage analysis and environmental litigation, including UST and toxic tort matters.
Mr. Hellner is an active member of the professional liability committee for DRI, as well as serving as editor for the FETTI newsletter, which addresses current issues in the areas of environmental and toxic tort law, and he has written on the emerging topics of phthalates and Bisphenal-A litigation.
Previously, Mr. Hellner served as a legal research clerk for the Connecticut Superior Court and a clerk for the Office of the Connecticut Attorney General. He has also served on the Inland Wetland and Watercourses Commission for the Town of Canton, Connecticut, and as a director on the Board of Directors for the non-profit organization, Friends of Heublein Tower, Inc.
