EILEEN
P. KAVANAGH
has litigated and tried cases in the state and federal courts for the past 25 years. A member of the bars of Massachusetts and New Jersey, as well as the First and Third Circuits, she has defended individuals, corporations and insurers in the areas of toxic torts and environmental law; premises liability; construction defect; product liability and insurance coverage. She provided an Amicus Brief to the Court in Canavan's Case, 432 Mass. 304, 733 N.E.2d 1042 (2000), dealing with Daubert and other expert issues. Ms. Kavanagh chaired the first Mealey's conference on Daubert and has presented at and chaired other local and national defense seminars and conferences on a variety of topics. She is actively involved in DRI, IADC and MDLA, and served as the President of the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association for the 2003-2004 term.
Ms. Kavanagh graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a double major in 1975. She received her law degree, cum laude, from Seton Hall University in 1983 and her Masters of Law in Corporations from New York University Law School in 1984. Ms. Kavanagh clerked in the federal and state courts in New Jersey.
