D. DOUGLAS MENA
Doug’s practice includes commercial
litigation matters relating to products liability, dram shop liability,
trucking and transportation liability, and premises liability
as well as workplace accidents, construction defects, professional
and executive liability, medical malpractice, and general negligence.
At St. Edward’s University in Austin,
Texas, Doug was a four-year starter and captain of the varsity
baseball team, and the recipient of the Emma Lou Linn Scholar-Athlete
Award as well as being named to the Heartland Academic All-Conference.
While in law school Doug was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal
Honor Fraternity and served as both a Director and an Officer
of the Board of Advocates. He competed as a varsity advocate at
the National Ethics Trial Competition, University of the Pacific
McGeorge in 2006 and 2007, and at the National Trial Advocacy
Competition, Michigan State University in 2006. After completing
law school, Doug worked as a judicial intern for the 14th State
Court of Appeals of Texas before entering private practice.
