JOHN D. SHEA
Jack’s practice focuses on the defense
of insureds and self-insureds in complex commercial litigation
involving professional negligence (attorneys, real estate professionals,
accountants, architects and engineers), Directors and Officers
liability, construction defect, product liability, employment
practices, ERISA, trucking, trade secrets and non-compete restrictions
and other breach of contract claims. Jack also had significant
experience in coverage litigation involving asbestos pre-packaged
bankruptcy cases, environmental contamination including landfill,
UST (underground storage tanks), petroleum pipeline leakage, hearing
loss, repetitive stress, excess Workers’ Compensation and
employers liability, professional negligence claims and product
recall claims. His practice is national in scope and he has, in
recent years, handled litigation in Delaware, Georgia, Illinois,
Missouri, Ohio and Texas. Jack has been recognized in regional
trade journals as a top attorney, and has been rated a BV®
Distinguished™ lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell’s peer
review rating system.
Jack serves as Managing Partner of the Firm’s
New Jersey office.
