SCOTT D. STEPHENSON
Scott's practice is focused on product liability, toxic tort (including asbestos, food flavoring and mold), construction, premises liability and automobile and trucking liability matters. He has also defended cases involving medical, nursing home, and legal malpractice as well as executive and employers liability issues. Scott has tried cases to verdict in both the state and federal courts in Illinois. In addition to his trial experience, Scott has successfully utilized alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation and arbitration in his practice.
Scott is a graduate of the International Association of Defense
Counsel Trial Academy. In 2008 he was the recipient of the President’s
Commendation Award from the Illinois Association of Defense Trial
Counsel. In addition, Scott is a Certified Arbitrator for the
Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program.
Scott volunteers his time as an assistant Scoutmaster for the
Boy Scouts of America Troop 28, located in Glencoe, Illinois.
In addition, Scott has served as a volunteer youth athletic coach
in his community.
