Christopher A. Long

Chris counsels various owners, developers, architectural and engineering firms, and contractors in all aspects of construction law, including contract drafting and negotiation including risk allocation analysis; risk management including advice on project developments, payment issues, mechanic’s liens, posting bonds, compliance with agency regulations; and the full breadth of litigation from initiating legal actions through trial or settlement.  Representative clients include an international blast engineering firm, a world-renowned architectural firm, a real estate investment developer, and a regional high-end contractor.  Chris has authored various construction and real estate legal alerts and presented ethics courses to engineers.

Chris speaks Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian.  Before law school, he served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Ukraine for two years.

When not taking care of his clients, Chris volunteers as a youth soccer coach and enjoys reading about the history and tactical developments of the game.
