Christopher M. Sweeney

Chris is an associate in Litchfield Cavo’s Chicago office. He focuses his practice on insurance defense, toxic torts, professional liability, products liability, premises liability, construction defects, and general litigation matters. Additionally, Chris represents insurance companies in a variety of insurance coverage matters.

Before entering private practice, Chris served as a Judicial Law Clerk for two judges in the Circuit Court of Cook County, including the Presiding Judge of the Law Division. Chris gained invaluable litigation experience while working in chambers on a daily basis and preparing bench memoranda and draft orders on a wide variety of substantive and procedural issues.

While in law school, Chris served as Student Publications Editor on The John Marshall Law Review’s Editorial Board, and received CALI awards for excellence in Contracts and Evidence.

In his spare time, Chris serves on the Board of Directors for the Young Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago
