Lauren M. Penn

Lauren M. Penn is an experienced civil defense litigator who concentrates her practice in all areas of commercial transportation, premises liability, and condominium law.  She represents clients and individuals in cases involving catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death.  In addition to defending her transportation industry clients in personal injury litigation, Lauren assists her clients by performing risk assessments and advising on best practices, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, and DOT requirements.  She also represents condominium associations in all areas of condominium law from preparing and amending governing documents to collection of delinquent assessments and evictions actions.

Lauren has successfully tried multiple cases to verdict and has conducted numerous arbitrations in her career.  In addition to achieving success in the courtroom, she has as achieved positive resolution of cases via mediation, arbitration, settlement negotiations, and dispositive motion practice.

Lauren also represents her clients by coordinating rapid response to catastrophic loss.  By working with her clients, investigators and qualified experts immediately following a catastrophic event, she is able to protect her client’s interests by developing a defense or recovery strategy and ensuring the preservation of evidence and protection of attorney-client privilege.

Lauren has been selected by her peers for inclusion on the Illinois Super Lawyers® list of Rising Stars for 2010, 2011, and 2012, a designation earned by no more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in Illinois and published by Thomas Reuters.
