Leo Gerard Daly

Leo Daly is an experienced trial attorney whose practice includes toxic tort litigation, product liability, commercial litigation, environmental matters and insurance coverage issues. Leo has had substantial experience in complex multi-party lawsuits involving both personal injury and property damage.

Leo has been chosen nationally by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© for Product Liability Litigation Defense and Mass Tort Litigation - Class Actions. He has also been recognized regularly in the annual list of Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected to receive this honor, based on a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area.

Leo is admitted to active practice in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio, and has handled hundreds of asbestos injury cases in all three jurisdictions since the late 1980s. Leo has served as national coordinating counsel for several clients with litigation pending in Texas, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, New York, Maryland, and New Jersey.

Leo has also been regional counsel for a number of defendants whose status has ranged from target to peripheral in asbestos litigation. Leo has been involved in trial settings and jury selection phases for cases pending in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He has been regularly involved in selecting and retaining expert witnesses and preparing corporate representatives for deposition and trial testimony.

In addition to asbestos and toxic tort litigation, Leo has extensive experience in products liability and class action work, including lead paint class action defense for Western Pennsylvania housing authorities; benzene, silica, and environmental exposure claims; and equipment, vehicle, and consumer product injury claims.
