Mark A. Darling

Mark focuses his practice in the area of insurance defense and banking litigation. He has defended all types of tort claims, including medical, legal and professional malpractice, employment, products liability, premises liability, and toxic tort matters, and has tried numerous jury and non-jury cases. Mark has conducted many injunction hearings and trials for bank related matters as well. He has also argued appeals in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine appellate courts, and in the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Mark has also been named as an AV® Preeminent™ lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review system, representing recognition of the highest level of professional excellence. Since 2002, he has been teaching at NITA trial practice and deposition seminars for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA).

Mark was a Northeast Regional Winner of the ABA and ACTL (American College of Trial Lawyers) Trial Competition, and competed in the National Moot Court Competition in Texas during his final year of law school. After completing law school, he served as a law clerk to the Justices of the New Hampshire Superior Court. Mark has been a partner with Litchfield Cavo LLP since 2005.
