Alissa focuses her practice on civil litigation, defending personal injury and toxic tort claims. She has extensive experience defending clients against claims involving products, construction, premises and auto liability matters. Alissa has defended numerous bodily injury and property damage cases during jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations.
Practices
- Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a gas station/convenience store client in a case wherein Plaintiff claimed she slipped and fell on black ice near our client’s store entrance; the Court agreed that there was no evidence that proved the alleged ice formed unnaturally, or that the ice contributed to Plaintiff’s fall
- Received a defense finding in arbitration for an underinsured motorist claim on behalf of our insurer client wherein Claimant/Insured was operating a motorcycle in a construction zone and rear-ended an SUV that had stopped due to traffic; Claimant/Insured made a demand for arbitration pursuant to his insurance policy in order to obtain underinsured motorist benefits arising from a prior collision
