Kevin focuses his law practice on defending clients against credit union class action claims nationwide, and is a member of Litchfield Cavo LLP’s financial institutions class action team.
For more than a decade, Kevin has concentrated on commercial litigation and has successfully prosecuted and defended high value, complex claims through trials and appeals. Specifically, Kevin has prevailed at dozens of bench trials on behalf of property owners and creditors, and has secured summary judgment for insurance coverage cases and other declaratory and chancery actions.
Kevin also has successfully argued and defended against numerous post-judgment motions in Illinois circuit courts, and has documented numerous workout agreements and forbearance agreements for distressed asset recovery. He has also negotiated valuable settlements at mediation and alternative dispute resolution.
Kevin has experience as a research assistant on a brief filed with the United States Supreme Court that achieved stay of execution pending appeal of habeas corpus petition. Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo, Kevin was a vice president and in-house counsel for a community bank in Chicago where he assisted with assessing risk management. He also was a leading litigation attorney at a mid-sized litigation firm in Chicago. During this time, Kevin developed extensive experience defending clients in a wide range of industries and specialties in Illinois state and federal courts.
