Brian is a founding partner of the Firm’s Kansas City, Missouri office. He has more than 30 years of experience representing individuals and corporations in complex tort and commercial litigation. Brian has tried more than 90 cases to verdict, more than a dozen related to medical negligence, received more than 30 favorable arbitration awards, has handled nearly 100 appeals, and has obtained dozens of favorable arbitration awards on behalf of his clients.

Brian’s representative clients comprise Fortune 50 companies and a nationwide group health insurer. Clients include hospitals and nursing homes, physicians and surgeons, dentists and oral surgeons, nurses and nurse practitioners and CRNAs, anesthesiologist and medical assistants, and drug and medical device manufacturers. In addition to his medical defense practice, Brian’s practice also includes non-medical professionals and practice groups such as lenders, financial institutions, investment advisors and agricultural cooperatives. He also represents and defends a global door and security management systems manufacturer.

Brian enjoys and is committed to public service. He is a volunteer for the Kansas Bar Association’s Pillars of Professionalism Committee, the Kansas Task Force on Lawyer Well-Being and various lawyer’s assistance programs throughout Missouri and Kansas.
