Sarah V. Bourdet

Sarah concentrates her legal practice on insurance defense, as well as complex commercial litigation and collection. She represents insurance companies in general and professional liability claims, and personal injury cases involving construction, products, toxic torts and transportation. Sarah also handles personal property and business property damage cases. She has additional experience defending cases concerning breach of contract, the Truth in Lending Act, consumer fraud and post-judgment collection.

Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Sarah practiced insurance defense litigation at a boutique law firm in Chicago. During this time, she handled general liability, construction litigation, products and premises liability matters, as well as cases involving transportation and toxic torts. Sarah’s experience also includes professional liability, commercial liability and fraud-related claims. She has prior experience representing clients in creditor’s rights litigation and post-judgment collection matters as special counsel for the City of Chicago, and gained experience handling social security disability claims and appeals before the Social Security Administration.
