Daniel A. Nicholas is a partner in the commercial practice group. He has 28 years of multiple disciplinary litigation experience in the areas of corporate, business, receivership, bankruptcy, petroleum, securities, construction, health care and anti-trust. As former litigation partner at Florida’s largest law firms, Daniel has handled a sundry of complex litigation for national and local clients in both the public and private sectors. He has obtained jury verdicts in excess of $100M in state and federal trials for the nation’s largest banks, developers and health care clients. He frequently represents real estate developers and health care clients in matters of administrative proceeding.
Mr. Nicholas’ practice is highly concentrated in the health care industry. He has substantial regulatory expertise that includes Federal Anti-Kickback, Stark, Medicare, Medicaid, Qui Tam, HIPAA, FDA regulations, Affordable Care Act, as well as the operational and compliance issues facing the ever-changing health care industry. Mr. Nicholas has spoken regularly throughout the United States in an array of litigation and healthcare issues and has frequently lectured on the Medicare Modernization Act, and appeared on numerous television and radio shows on matters of professional malpractice and consumer protection.
