Devine focuses her practice on employment litigation and general tort matters. Her experience handling labor and employment claims includes addressing all matters of workplace discrimination, harassment and retaliation. Devine represents clients before federal and state courts, as well as in administrative matters before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) and the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights. Devine has successfully obtained “Lack of Probable Cause” findings on behalf of employers in matters pending before the MCAD. In addition to her employment litigation experience, she has defended employers in wage and hour matters pending in state and federal court, and insurers in workers’ compensation matters pending before the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents.
Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Devine worked at a nationally recognized law firm where she focused her practice on construction defect, premises liability injury claims and workers’ compensation. In addition, she handled commercial litigation such as employment and housing discrimination litigation, and torts such as personal injury and dog bites.
