Jaime represents insurance carriers and concentrates his practice on coverage litigation. He handles claims policies involving general liability, commercial property, breach of contract and bad faith. Jaime also handles civil litigation in the areas of products liability, construction liability, premises liability and motor vehicle transportation. His experience includes defending clients in state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies.
Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Jaime was an attorney at a mid-sized civil defense litigation firm in Chicago where he represented insureds in premises liability and transportation matters. Previously, he handled personal injury cases and workers’ compensation claims at a boutique firm where he was known for his professionalism and fearless approach to representing his clients.
Jaime served as a legislative staffer to a Cook County Commissioner where he managed the Business & Economic Development Committee agenda with a focus on commercial tax incentive applications. Immediately prior, he served as their interim chief of staff where he continued to organize the Committee agenda, review and propose legislative and policy change, and also assisted with the development and management of the Cook County Commission on Social Innovation. Jaime had previously served for a City of Chicago alderperson where he provided constituent assistance to residents with a focus on transportation and senior citizen services.
