Emily focuses her practice on representing entities throughout all aspects of their civil litigation case from initial assessment through jury verdict and post-judgment motions. She routinely defends clients against claims in commercial, construction defect, premises and products liability, trucking and medical malpractice cases.
Emily is experienced in defending physicians and healthcare providers in medical malpractice cases and has managed and resolved cases of first party insurance claims. She also has managed the defense and resolutions of claims and lawsuits for a corporate client who owns privates prisons and rehabilitation facilities.
Emily has work experience in both a law firm setting as well as for a third party administrator. Her experience as a claims attorney affords her valuable insight when addressing the needs of insurance clients.

- Obtained summary judgement as co-counsel after Plaintiff failed to exercise due diligence in attempting to serve our client with citation within the statute of limitations period; the lawsuit arose from an automobile accident in which the Plaintiff’s vehicle allegedly struck a four-foot-long post lying on the ground in a parking lot owned by our client, the owner of a commercial shopping center in Dallas County, Texas
- Obtained defense verdict as second chair in an automobile accident trial
- Represented and advised independent school districts on personnel, student, board governance, special education and public information matters
