Katy Houchin

Katy knows the importance of commitment and attention to detail. She is an experienced litigator and focuses her practice on insurance coverage, business litigation and general liability matters. Katy handles all phases of the litigation process and is skilled at participating in motion practice and depositions. Additionally, Katy has experience representing institutional and private clients in the state and federal courts of Missouri and Kansas and delivers favorable case outcomes for clients when handling settlement negotiations.

Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Katy was an attorney at a mid-sized firm in Kansas City, Missouri, where she represented clients in claims involving insurance coverage, products liability, professional liability, asset purchase agreements among others. Preceding her time at the Kansas City firm, she was a litigation attorney in Overland Park, Kansas. During that time, Katy defended clients against insurance claims and prepared opinions such as reservation of rights letters.
