Michael defends clients against personal injury, property damage, construction, civil rights and intentional tort claims both in New York and West Virginia. His representative clients include businesses, insurers, individuals, law enforcement agencies and other government officials.

Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Michael gained experience at a mid-sized defense law firm in Charleston, West Virginia. While earning his law degree at Albany Law School, he served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Lawrence E. Khan, in the Northern District of New York. Upon moving to West Virginia, Michael clerked for the Hon. Stacy Nowicki-Eldridge, Circuit Judge in West Virginia’s 9th Judicial Circuit.

In addition to building his defense practice, Michael is passionate about providing representation to low-income and indigent clients. He has provided pro bono services for clients with a variety of needs, and was a court appointed counsel to criminal defendants in West Virginia magistrate and circuit courts. Through these experiences, Michael has served individuals who could not otherwise afford legal representation.
