Megan concentrates her law practice on defending companies and employers against workers’ compensation claims. She also handles employment and labor law cases involving discrimination, wrongful termination and wage violations in the Commission on Human Right and Opportunities (CHRO) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Megan defends claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Title VII and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). In addition, she represents clients in personal injury actions concerning motor vehicle accidents and premises liability.
Megan’s experience includes engaging in dispositive motion practice and obtaining favorable settlements for her clients in Connecticut state and federal courts. Moreover, she has successfully litigated in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and has briefed arguments for the Connecticut Supreme Court.
Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Megan was an attorney at an employment, personal injury and workers’ compensation firm in Hartford, Connecticut. During this time, she handled all aspects of the litigation process, from pleadings and motions to discovery and depositions.
