Ben focuses his legal practice in the area of general liability. He has experience as an e-discovery attorney practicing defense litigation with a focus on products liability claims including responsibilities such as requesting and providing electronic discovery on behalf of large pharmaceutical company clients. While a legal fellow at Georgia Lawyers for the Arts, a nonprofit organization that provides legal assistance and educational programming to artists and arts organizations, Ben’s responsibilities comprised preparing cases for trial by conducting interviews on behalf of independent creator clients involved in business transaction disputes concerning breach of contract, trademark and copyright infringement.

While earning his law degree at Michigan State University College of Law, Ben assisted the University to protect its registered trademarks in the e-commerce space as lead intellectual property (IP) intern for Michigan State University’s Center for Anti-Counterfeiting and Product Protection (A-CAPP Center). During this time, Ben organized and moderated a panel discussion with U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents for A-CAPP’s annual Brand Protection Strategy Summit, which took place in Michigan. While attending law school, Ben was selected to join a team of law student interns in Lovran, Primorje-Gorski Kotar, Croatia, where he gained experience with IP law by handling matters involving cybercrime, international copyright, the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy and General Data Protection Regulation.
