Ruzan handles general civil liability litigation including premises liability, personal injury and wrongful death cases. She also represents clients in matters involving labor and employment, consumer protection, and business and contract disputes. Ruzan has experience filing and appearing in California state and federal courts.
Ruzan has a history of achieving favorable results for clients and brings a confident approach to arguing in the courtroom. As a civil litigator, she has defended clients in multi-million dollar disputes involving complex issues and multiple parties. In the course of her experience, Ruzan has drafted and successfully argued dozens of motions and challenges to pleadings, including motions for summary judgment, motions for protective order and discovery motions, among others. In addition, she has handled various discovery disputes, has taken and defended dozens of expert and lay depositions, and has filed writs and appeals in California state courts.
While earning her juris doctorate in Los Angeles at Loyola Law School, Ruzan was a member of the nationally recognized Byrne Trial Advocacy Team and participated in a number of national trial competitions.
