Paul focuses his legal practice in the areas of general liability, premises liability, insurance coverage, and employment and labor law. His representative experience includes a variety of contractors, developers and insurance companies. Paul handles all phases of the litigation process, from investigation to trial, and represents clients at the local, federal and appellate court levels in Pennsylvania, including at the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Paul was a defense litigation associate at a Pittsburgh law firm representing businesses in complex litigation matters involving First Amendment issues, indemnification cases, large-scale subrogation claims and contractual disputes.
- Secured successful outcome on behalf of Pennsylvania nonprofit client wherein Plaintiff filed a request for injunctive relief demanding that our client’s bank accounts and equipment be taken away prior to our client’s annual festival; the Court agreed that Plaintiff’s request was legally improper.
- Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a residential property owner in Pennsylvania state court in a premises liability case involving alleged inadequate lighting and defective steps; following extensive written and oral discovery, the Court agreed the property owner was not at fault for Plaintiff’s injuries and damages.
- Achieved dismissal of multiple claims on behalf of a general contractor client involved in faulty construction practices related to the pouring of a residential property foundation.
- Negotiated multiple settlements on behalf of a property developer in two cases involving alleged defective residential construction; both claims consisted of defective construction practices, including improper installation of a deck and lack of residential building code compliance.
