Richard practices law from the Firm’s Missouri offices with a focus on general liability, insurance coverage and first-party property civil claims defense, with a proven track record in state and federal litigation, including appellate practice.
Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Richard served as associate general counsel for a large electric cooperative, managing diverse legal matters such as contract negotiations and legal counsel while in collaboration with top-level executives, board members and decision makers. His representative experience spanned areas such as risk management, human resources, employee and labor relations, real estate, corporate law and information technology. Throughout his tenure, Richard managed productive state and federal regulatory agency interactions. He also oversaw the company’s litigation portfolio, coordinating outside counsel services in environmental law, regulatory compliance, employment practices and toxic tort defense.
Having honed his skills as associate general counsel and in various other litigation roles, Richard brings valuable insights and a comprehensive legal background to his current position, enhancing his ability to defend civil and commercial litigation while handling insurance coverage matters with precision and efficiency.
