Jim has more than 30 years of litigation, trial and appellate experience. He focuses his practice on the defense of suppliers and manufacturers in toxic tort matters, including asbestos and benzene cases, at both the state and federal level.

Jim serves as National Coordinating Counsel to a former manufacturer in asbestos litigation nationwide. He has experience representing individuals, corporations and other business entities in the defense of a wide variety of cases, including products liability, construction liability, general liability, trucking liability and dram shop cases. In addition, he has experience representing commercial and residential lenders in Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Truth In Lending Act matters, as well as bad faith and wrongful foreclosure cases. Jim also has experience handling executive professional liability matters for accountants and lawyers.

Prior to concentrating his practice in civil matters, Jim had an extensive criminal practice. He has tried numerous cases in the Superior and District Courts of Massachusetts and has appeared before the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts. Jim formerly worked as a Management Accountant and was an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at Salem State University.
