Litchfield Cavo Announces Four New Partners for 2025

Litchfield Cavo LLP, a premier coverage and litigation defense law firm, is proud to announce the partnership elections of four attorneys effective January 1, 2025: E. R. Hamilton, Michael T. Lynch, A. Michael Perotti and Matthew A. Tate.

Practicing from our Houston, TX office, E. R. Hamilton handles a broad range of insurance-related matters. His experience includes litigating coverage disputes, evaluating indemnity language, providing coverage opinions, and pursuing declaratory judgments. E. R. also defends insurance policy disputes, including those involving property damage, business interruption, and bad faith claims. He represents insurers in first-party lawsuits in Texas state and federal courts, managing all aspects of claims through litigation to resolution.

In our Simsbury, CT office, Michael T. Lynch focuses on both general liability and workers’ compensation claims. He represents a diverse array of clients, including contractors, commercial business owners, vehicle and home owners, and homeowners associations. Mike also has experience representing insurance companies in first-party claims and uninsured/underinsured motorist cases, as well as defending employers in workers’ compensation matters.

From our Tampa, FL office, A. Michael Perotti concentrates on general liability matters. He handles third-party insurance defense claims, and manages a variety of cases including commercial disputes, breach of contract, personal injury, and wrongful death with particular emphasis on premise liability and negligent security. Michael’s experience extends to civil rights violations, policy failures, supervisory negligence, and negligent hiring or retention. His representative clients include insurance carriers, governmental entities and private businesses.

Based in our Kansas City, MO office, Matthew A. Tate zealously represents clients in Missouri and Kansas. His litigation practice spans a wide range of industries, from major insurance carriers to small independent businesses and individuals. Matt’s business litigation experience includes handling insurance coverage disputes, wrongful death cases, catastrophic injury claims, and complex issues such as bad faith refusal to settle.
