Kwame concentrates his practice in the area of employment and labor law, and has related experience performing investigations regarding employee conduct, discrimination and wage theft matters on behalf of clients. He also handles workers’ compensation, non-medical professional liability and general liability matters.
Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Kwame was a staff attorney in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he handled employment and civil litigation cases. During this time, he negotiated settlements for clients, investigated employer-employee disputes, and expanded his legal research and writing skills. Kwame also assisted with representing claimants who were disqualified from receiving unemployment benefits at the Massachusetts Department of Unemployment Assistance and Massachusetts District Court.
Kwame developed his interest for law while in high school where he took an introductory legal course that covered basic law practices in several areas. Later, while an undergraduate student at Sacred Heart University, his aspiration to become an attorney became evident. Kwame went on to explore a variety of practice areas while a legal intern, ranging from immigration to labor and employment.
