Courtney has more than 20 years of experience handling a variety of legal matters and providing comprehensive legal support to clients, most recently in the area of products liability, including asbestos litigation. She has experience representing companies in workers’ compensation claims, as well as individuals pursuing Social Security Disability claims in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Courtney handles cases in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia state courts, along with federal and appellate courts.
Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Courtney defended civil rights actions on behalf of clients while practicing law at firms in the Pittsburgh-area. She previously served as an assistant district attorney where she represented the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and worked closely with local and state police to prepare witnesses for trial. During this time, Courtney would collaborate with a victims’ advocate to ensure victims received support and were compensated when applicable.
