Scott concentrates his law practice in the areas of construction liability, general liability, products liability and toxic tort litigation. He has experience participating in various commercial contract, medical malpractice, debt collection and foreclosure cases. Scott has also managed landlord-tenant matters and participated in related hearings.
Prior to joining to Litchfield Cavo LLP, Scott worked on a variety of matters including wrongful death petitions and Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation (SLAPP) suits at a Binghamton, New York law firm. While earning his law degree at the University at Buffalo School of Law, he interned with the New York Supreme Court for Judge Amy Martoche, and previously with the Chautauqua County Public Defender’s Office. Scott has additional experience as a law clerk at a local employment law firm.
Prior to attending law school, Scott worked at the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as a program administrator for the United States National Committee of the International Electrotechnical Commission. During this time, he facilitated development of the International Electrotechnical Policy and Standardization for benefit to United States consumers and business. Scott leveraged the experience he gained while a program manager at the United Nations Democracy Fund.
