Illinois Partner Presents at Illinois Chamber of Commerce Employment Law Seminar

Chicago partner Sean F. Darke will present “Supervisory Training for New and Seasoned Supervisors”, a day-long seminar hosted by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce. The upcoming event is currently scheduled as an in-person event to take place on Wednesday, March 10 in Effingham, Illinois, and again on Thursday, March 25 in Naperville, Illinois. (Please review State of Illinois COVID-19 Phase 4 guidelines prior to attending, found here.)

The training seminar will focus on educating supervisors about the changing employment laws in the State of Illinois. Attendees will leave with a better comprehension of Illinois employment laws and how to effectively address employment law-related situations before they arise. The seminar will include material from the Supervisor’s Handbook, a guidebook authored by Sean in partnership with the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, that will be provided as a complimentary reference for all attendees.

Additional topics include tips on how to handle everyday workplace scenarios, how to incorporate the most recent Illinois employment law updates into your workplace, the “dos and don’ts” for supervisors who are transitioning into a new role and much more. The seminar qualifies for approval of continuing education credits where applicable, including Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Continuing Legal Education (CLE) if requested prior to the event, and certificate credit toward Management/Supervision Compliance.
