Illinois Partners Prevail in Contract and Unjust Enrichment Suit

Chicago Partners Natalie Eschbach and Paul Ruscheinski recently prevailed on a Motion for Summary judgment in the Kankakee County Courthouse on behalf of our convenience store client in a breach of contract and unjust enrichment suit.

A snow and ice removal contracting company alleged it was not paid for services it provided at several of our client’s convenience store locations. Subsequently, Plaintiff filed suit against our client claiming breach of contract and unjust enrichment for our client’s alleged failure to pay for Plaintiff’s services.

Our defense attorneys Natalie Eschbach and Paul Ruscheinski filed a Motion for Summary Judgment, establishing that Plaintiff was unable to provide any facts to support its breach of contract and unjust enrichment claims.

In November 2025, the Kankakee County Courthouse granted our defense attorneys’ Motion for Summary Judgment, dismissing the case in its entirety and ruling in favor of our client.

Natalie J. Eschbach focuses her practice on matters involving complex litigation, including products liability, professional liability and premises liability. Her clients include manufacturers and sellers of products, construction companies, security companies, physicians and nonprofits.

Paul A. Ruscheinski focuses his practice on matters of executive liability, medical professional liability and toxic tort defense. His legal practice also includes business and employment liability matters, assisting clients with corporate and commercial litigation.
