Nicole S. Bratton

Nicole focuses their practice on insurance defense and general liability matters. She has experience handling the entire litigation process from pleadings and discovery, to motion practice and trial preparation.

Before joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Nicole was a law clerk at a boutique Chicago defense firm with a focus on civil rights matters. During this time, she gained experience in legal research and drafting, including motion memorandums. Nicole previously clerked at the Cook County Public Defender’s Office and, before that, at a personal injury firm in Chicago. She honed her legal skills by providing assistance with drafting pleadings and discovery documents, and attending depositions and mandatory arbitrations.

While earning her law degree at DePaul College of Law, Nicole served as President of the school’s Moot Court Honor Society where she drafted complex Supreme Court briefs and refined her oral advocacy skills. She competed in several national competitions, including The National Moot Court Competition, where her team received an award for Regional Best Brief and advanced to the semifinals.
