Leoni focuses her practice on defending Florida workers’ compensation and Federal Defense Base Act matters. She has experience handling cases from inception to settlement, including but not limited to drafting pleadings, conducting and defending depositions, and negotiating and settling matters at mediation. Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP’s Workers’ Compensation practice, Leoni was in-house counsel for a large property insurance carrier in Florida where she handled breach of contract and declaratory relief actions.
While earning her law degree at the University of Miami School of Law, Leoni was a member of the School’s Race and Social Justice Law Review. During that time, she authored a published article on immigrant survivors of domestic violence and their experience with the U.S. immigration system. Additionally, Leoni interned at several firms and gained experience in real estate and transactional matters.
