Litchfield Cavo Co-Sponsors Korean American Bar Association Banquet
Litchfield Cavo LLP is a co-sponsor of the Korean American Bar Association (KABA) of Chicago’s 2023 Annual Banquet and Installation, being held Friday, April 28, in Chicago, Illinois. The Annual Banquet gathers KABA members and other professionals from all facets of the legal industry to celebrate the Korean-American community and support KABA’s mission and initiatives. KABA programs include its scholarships, mentorship program and pro bono legal clinic that operates in conjunction with the HANA Center and annually serves more than 1,000 immigrant families in Chicagoland.
The Banquet will included a number of presentations, including keynote speaker The Honorable John Z. Lee. the first Asian-American judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. This year’s scholarship awards will be presented to two law students who have demonstrated potential as future legal community leaders. The Association’s Community Service Award will be received by the executive director of the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago. Additionally, KABA will recognize Korean-American leaders in the legal field as well as additional community leaders who have advanced the interests of Korean Americans. The Banquet ceremony will also include the installation of KABA’s new officers and board members.
KABA is a professional nonprofit organization with more than 400 local members comprising attorneys and law students. The Association was established in 1993 and provides networking opportunities to its members and hosts several professional, educational, community and social events throughout the year.
