Litchfield Cavo LLP Supports the Sodexo Charity Classic

Litchfield Cavo LLP is a proud sponsor of the first-ever Sodexo Charity Classic, benefitting the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation, a nonprofit organization that assembles experts, innovators, volunteers and donors to feed children in the United States and advocate for policies to end childhood hunger. The fundraising event takes place July 19-21 at The Greenbrier, a renowned, historical resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.

The golf event and fundraiser includes amateur golf, social functions and a live auction that will allow sponsors to engage with Sodexo executives, associates and leadership. A celebration dinner will take place to highlight the work of the Foundation, and recognize Sodexo’s Heroes of Everyday Life Award recipients and Sodexo’s Stephen J. Brady Scholarship recipients. These two groups are made up of hunger-fighting individuals who are nominated annually by teams across the United States.

For more than 20 years, the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation has hosted an annual dinner raising more than $1 million each year in benefit of the Foundation. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic caused food insecurity to be an even larger problem, reversing the organization’s progress and making Sodexo’s mission of ensuring every child in the United States grows up with dependable access to enough nutritious food that allows them to lead healthy, productive lives more critical than ever. The 2021 inaugural Sodexo Charity Classic is slated to replace the annual Foundation Dinner and stand as the primary fundraiser for the Foundation. Moving forward, this event will take place annually, and will gather participants to help reverse food insecurity in America. All proceeds raised from the Sodexo Charity Classic will help those in need, as Sodexo Inc. funds all administrative costs for the Foundation.
