Litchfield Cavo Partner Participates in 2025 Special Olympics Colorado Polar Plunge

Litchfield Cavo LLP Partner Mitchell H. Frazen is again joining his grandson Logan’s Lincoln Middle School Unified team to participate in the Windsor, Colorado Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Colorado. This event takes place on Saturday, April 12, at Windsor Lake Beach. This is Mitch’s 10th year “freezin’ for a reason,” raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics Colorado and its athletes.

Last year, Logan was awarded the “Highest Fundraising Individual” trophy for this annual event, which raised more than $161,000—enough to support more than 2,660 athletes.

Special Olympics Colorado serves more than 23,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities throughout the state, and offers 22 Olympic-style individual and team sports. This year, Special Olympics Colorado has a goal to raise $780,000 from the Polar Plunge series. All contributions benefit the transformative athletic, health and leadership programs offered by Special Olympics.

Special Olympics was established in 1969 in the belief that individuals with intellectual disabilities can learn, enjoy and benefit from sports participation. The organization offers year-round training, providing its athletes opportunities to improve physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship.
