Litchfield Cavo Co-Sponsors Tournament Supporting AWLF
Litchfield Cavo LLP is a proud co-sponsor of the 26th Annual “I’m Not Serious About Golf Tournament,” benefitting the Association for Women Lawyers Foundation (AWLF) of Greater Kansas City, a nonprofit organization that is committed to helping women in law develop and advance in their career, and enriching the lives of Kansas City women and girls. This golf fundraising tournament will again take place Friday, August 26, at Painted Hills Golf Course in Kansas City, Missouri.
The event theme, “I’m Not Serious About Golf Tournament,” was first held in 1995 and attracts approximately 140 attendees to participate in a round of golf to raise funds for the AWLF. This event is well known for its lighthearted take on the tournament and generous sponsors. The event begins with lunch for all golfers, and is followed by tee off for the tournament. On-course game involvement is encouraged during the tournament including participation in the hole-in-one contest. The event concludes with a raffle and awards presentation recognizing the players with the longest drive, longest putt, lowest score and closest to the pin.
The AWLF’s mission is to help women in law develop and advance their career, and to improve the lives of women and girls in the Kansas City community. The AWLF is the charitable division of the Association for Women Lawyers (AWL), that was founded in 1976 to progress the role of women in the legal profession. The organization supports its members by providing continuing legal education programs, connecting women with mentors for professional development and more. Members include law students, senior partners, associates and judges. For additional information about the AWL and AWLF, please visit the organization’s website.
