Missouri Partner Co-Presents at Seminar on Kansas HR Laws
Kansas City Partner Michael Kopit will present during an online seminar hosted by the National Business Institute (NBI) titled “Kansas Human Resource Law 2024,” taking place Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
This NBI seminar provides attendees up-to-date information regarding human resource laws that are specific to the State of Kansas. Seminar topics include practices for navigating complications in the virtual workplace, drafting and updating policies, hiring and terminating workers and many others. Michael will present two sessions during the seminar, “Drafting Employee Handbooks and Policies in 2024” and “Investigating Employee Complaints: 2024 Guide.” The seminar registrants include attorneys, HR professionals, accountants, paralegals and other legal professionals.
Michael’s law practice includes defending employers in wrongful termination claims, as well as counseling employers on employment issues regarding personnel and compliance matters. He has experience advising clients on litigation avoidance techniques to assist with averting risks and conflicts. Michael has experience presenting to legal and insurance claims professionals at conferences and continuing education courses (CLE) on popular topics such as disputes in the workplace and personal injury law.
