New York Partner Appointed President of Bar Association for Fourth Year

New York City Partner Dana M. Catanzaro was recently sworn in as President of the Columbian Lawyers Association, First Judicial Department, for the fourth consecutive year. Her appointment was recognized during the association’s annual holiday party and board installation dinner on Thursday, December 8, in New York City.

During the event, attendees including association members, attorneys and esteemed members of the judiciary enjoyed an installation ceremony, followed by a celebratory dinner. The Honorable Judge James Clynes of the New York County Supreme Court presided over the ceremony, and swore in the officers and directors for the 2023 term. In addition, a continuing legal education (CLE) credit session was available for interested attendees. The CLE seminary was titled “The Anatomy of an Asbestos Trial,” and was presented by the recently retired Honorable Judge Barbara Jaffe and the Honorable Judge Suzanne Adams, both of the New York County Supreme Court.

The Columbian Lawyers Association, First Judicial Department, is a bar association of lawyers who celebrate Italian culture, innovation and achievement. The association provides its members with networking opportunities, a professional forum and several additional benefits. Members include prominent jurists, practicing attorneys and law students of Italian American descent.

Dana focuses her defense practice on litigating high-exposure construction cases, including those involving accidents and property damage. She has obtained successful results for her clients via risk transfer efforts, dispositive motion practice, and settlements at mediation and trial. Dana is the current president of the Columbian Lawyers Association, First Judicial Department, and leads their collaborative CLE program. She is also a proud member of the Firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and is an active community and nonprofit volunteer.
