Michael focuses his practice in the areas of business litigation, general liability and professional liability. He has experience conducting all aspects of discovery and motion practice including drafting pleadings, discovery demands, trial motions, and appellate briefs for complex commercial, insurance and intellectual property cases.
Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Michael litigated, arbitrated and mediated cases in New York state and federal courts. Previously, Michael defended design professionals, such as architects and engineers, and handled insurance carrier coverage claims and general liability actions.
After earning a law degree from St. John’s University School of Law, Michael was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judith M. Barzilay of the United States Court of International Trade. Throughout his two-year federal clerkship, he worked on trade law cases and federal appellate cases during designation sittings before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third and Fifth Circuits.
