Kris is an attorney in Litchfield Cavo LLP’s Chicago office and concentrates his practice on commercial litigation. He is a member of the Firm’s financial institutions class action team, representing banks and credit unions in a variety of litigation matters. Kris has previous experience handling cases involving products liability, insurance coverage and sports litigation.
While attending Duke University School of Law, Kris interned with Legal Aid of North Carolina. There, he represented clients in employment hearings and landlord/tenant litigation on behalf of community members. He has additional experience as a law clerk with Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, where he performed legal research and provided contract management support to that health system’s risk management and legal affairs departments.
Practices
- Obtained favorable arbitration result wherein our not-for-profit organization’s driver rear-ended Plaintiff’s vehicle and Plaintiff claimed no injuries, but later went to an emergency room with friends who were not in the vehicle during the collision, where all individuals claimed injuries as a result of the collision; after presenting evidence of fraud, the arbitrator awarded in our favor.
