Jonathan N. Major

Jonathan handles an array of legal practice areas with a primary focus on general liability and insurance coverage defense and disputes. He has experience defending insurers against negligence and personal injury claims, as well as representing clients in professional liability and property damage cases. Jonathan is versed in multiple facets of insurance law and uses his experience to counsel insurers on a broad spectrum of coverage-related matters.

Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Jonathan handled employment law matters and worked extensively under the False Claims Act. During this time, he gained invaluable litigation experience, specifically in the Equal Rights Division. Jonathan adeptly negotiated settlements and participated in numerous hearings, showcasing his skills as a proficient attorney. He previously practiced at a Milwaukee, Wisconsin, firm where he handled insurance defense cases and evaluated claims.

While earning his Juris Doctorate at Marquette University Law School, Jonathan served as a law clerk for two years. He conducted research on legal authority, drafted memos and briefs, and assisted attorneys with numerous insurance defense cases. Jonathan also attended several legal proceedings and gained valuable insights on the legal process.
