California Partner Obtains Summary Judgment for Franchise Client in Riverside County Superior Court

Pasadena Partner Dan Ip recently obtained summary judgment on behalf of our motel owner client in a personal injury case filed by Plaintiff in Riverside County Superior Court.

Our attorneys defended franchise motel owner against the Plaintiff who claimed that he stayed at our client’s motel for one night. The Plaintiff later filed suit claiming that they had allegedly been bitten by bed bugs in their sleeping room during their stay.

During his defense, Daniel challenged Plaintiff’s allegations with evidence obtained through discovery and with arguments under applicable case law. Following vigorous opposition by the Plaintiff’s attorney, the Riverside County Superior Court granted Defendant’s motion for summary judgment.
