California Partner to Speak at American Institute of Architects Colorado Event

Pasadena Partner Mark K. Worthge will be a panelist at ENGAGE 2023, American Institute of Architects (AIA) Colorado’s Practice + Design Conference, taking place November 15–17 in Keystone, Colorado. During the panel discussion, “Contracts for Architects, Protect Yourself and Save Money!,” Mark and fellow panelists will share basic tools for architects to spot and understand current industry issues, protect themselves from contract pitfalls and prepare strategies to avoid liability. Panelists joining Mark include Michael W. Folonis, design principal and founder of Michael W. Folonis Architects, and Paul Weinberg, attorney, mediator and owner of Law Offices of Paul Weinberg.

As a former practicing professional engineer, Mark brings his education and more than 30 years of legal experience assisting clients in complex construction and real estate disputes. He has significant trial and arbitration experience representing architects, engineers, contractors, developers, manufacturers, homeowner associations, geologists and other design professionals.

The annual ENGAGE 2023 Practice + Design Conference gathers architect industry professionals to discuss leading topics. The 2023 theme is focused on current, significant subjects that the architecture industry, practices and communities experience in today’s world.

AIA Colorado is the voice of the architecture profession in Colorado. Through advocacy, leadership development, education and resources, the organization supports architecture professionals in designing a better world. The organization’s statewide network of members includes architects, those working toward licensure and allied industry professionals.
