Emilia V. Vandzhura

Emilia defends general liability and workers’ compensation cases on behalf of clients. She handles personal injury matters involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, slip-and-fall and trip-and-fall incidents, construction defects and dog bites, as well as breach of contract claims. Emilia’s representative clients included businesses and individuals.

Emilia is involved in all stages of litigation, from initial case assessment to case resolution, handling written discovery, depositions, motions practice, trial preparation and settlement negotiations, and guides clients through the litigation process. She represents her clients in Connecticut state courts and before the Workers’ Compensation Commissions statewide.

Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Emilia was an associate attorney at a Hartford, Connecticut defense law firm where she regularly appeared in court for hearings, depositions, conferences and mediations. Previously, she worked for the federal government as a trademark examining attorney at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and immediately prior as a clerk at the Executive Office for Immigration Review.

In addition to her law practice, Emilia is deeply committed to providing pro bono legal services particularly related to immigration, and is actively involved in humanitarian work within the community.
