Thane defends a wide variety of clients from tort claims arising out of motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls and product defects. He also has experience handling alleged professional malpractice, excessive force by security guards and mold exposure. He represents clients in state and federal court, including adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court.
Prior to joining Litchfield Cavo LLP, Thane worked for the Office of the Attorney General, representing the Nevada Department of Corrections and the employees in civil rights litigation in federal court.
Before becoming a litigator, Thane worked as in-house counsel for a blockchain technology startup in Las Vegas, where he drafted contracts and counseled corporate management on a wide variety of issues, including entity formation, agency regulations, and policy implementation.
Practices
- Obtained a unanimous 8-0 jury verdict after a four-day jury trial on claims of retaliation and excessive force against correctional officers.
- Recovered nearly a quarter million dollars on behalf of an international healthcare billing company, after a patient-debtor unlawfully converted the funds filed for bankruptcy.
- Obtained a successful resolution on behalf of a large Las Vegas casino in a case involving allegations of defective plumbing.
