New York Attorney Wins Unanimous Verdict for Client in Premises Liability Case

Litchfield Cavo LLP attorney Tory F. Taylor successfully defended longtime motel hospitality group client in a premises liability case filed in Hidalgo County, Texas. The Plaintiff claimed that uneven stairs caused a trip and fall down the flight of stairs resulting  the plaintiff to suffer a broken nose, deviated septum, fractured orbital lobe and fractured wrist.

The Plaintiff sought damages for pain and suffering, disfigurement and left-upper extremity impairment and asked for $700,000 during closing arguments. The unanimous jury found that there was no defect and that the Plaintiff was 100 percent negligent for his own injuries.
