St. Louis Partner Publishes Explainer in Illinois State Bar Workers’ Compensation Newsletter

St. Louis partner Gregory S. Keltner published in article, titled, “Multiple Accidents and Section 5(b): What Does the Employer Have to Prove to Recover?” in the December 2019 issue of Workers’ Compensation Law, the Illinois State Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation newsletter.

Greg’s article describes the case Hunt v. Herrod, 2019 IL App (3d) 170808, and the Third District Appellate Court’s finding that an employer is not entitled to a lien pursuant to Section 5(b) of the Workers’ Compensation Act merely because it paid workers’ compensation benefits.
